28 Summers was formed by Jay Worthy in 2020 - a passion project which he had nurtured from the smallest seed of an idea into something much bigger. A name for a podcast soon became the name for a movement, a philosophy. 28 Summers is a mindset - a way of living that embraces the spirit of adventure and encourages people to be bold, brave, and stretch their personal horizons. This planet is magnificent, and our time on Earth is miraculous - 28 Summers is a personal commitment to ourselves and our loved ones, that we will live EVERY single moment and pursue our passions in whatever way we can. With negative news bombarding us from every angle, 28 Summers is a safe place - a place where ideas, dreams and experiences are celebrated and shared. A place for adventure and saying YES more!
My name is Jay Worthy - I am a husband, dad to four amazing kids and the founder of 28 Summers. I host the 28 Summers podcast, aimed at anyone looking to reframe their lives and find their purpose. I help guide people on ways to re-wild themselves, take control of their mornings and live life more adventurously through my own personal experiences and those of my guests.
I got my start in life as a personal trainer over two decades ago and somehow woke up to find myself as the CEO of a $1 billion company living in Chicago. After a massively adventurous childhood, my life lost its adventurous edge. Work and other commitments quickly took priority, and my passion and desire for adventure were suppressed. Through a series of life-changing moments and a period of intense stress and depression in my 30’s, I knew I needed to make a change and get back that adventurous spirit. These days I spend my time living back in the UK, spreading the message of how extreme challenges, living adventurously, and time in nature is the cure for what ails us.
You can find me on Instagram (@1dayadventurer), listen to the podcast on all the major platforms and read my blog right here!
I am ALWAYS open to chatting to people about adventure; please get in touch and share your story with me.
